I am majoring in Communication with a minor in Sports Studies. Since 2019, I have served as a student assistant with the Coastal Carolina University football team. In my role, I have predominantly worked with Video and Technology and have added duties in assisting the creative department prior to the start of the 2020 season and the recruiting department spring of the 2021 season. Being able to serve in this role since my sophomore year of college has provided me with some of the best learning experiences that one aspires to work in college athletics. I have been exposed to the fast-paced work of college athletics and have served approximately 25 highly qualified and successful coaches and support staff as well as hundreds of Division I college football players. In my role, I have helped contribute to a 22-3 record over the 2020 and 2021 football. In my role with creative media, I helped take recruiting pictures, created a TikTok page, and built the page's following to 34.8k followers and 420.3k likes. In my role with recruiting, I helped with on-campus recruiting, ran the recruiting Instagram page along with help set up official visits. I also have held an operations role in our summer prospect camps the 2021 Jamey Chadwell Football Camps, I helped with sign-in, coaching youth players, and monitoring athletes for potential risks.

 

Outside of my work as a student assistant for the CCU football team, I also served as a creative media intern for the Coastal Carolina Athletics for 3 semesters. During this role, I filmed media for advertising with sponsorships and Teal Town, took pictures for all the athletics recruiting, and ran the individual sports on Twitter and Instagram. I also served as a marketing intern for the Coastal Carolina Athletic department in the Fall 2022 semester in which I helped produce and prepare promotional materials. Another role that I had whole at Coastal was being the head of a philanthropy social media campaign that promoted an event that raised money for a group called Each One Teach One which inspires innovation mindsets in underrepresented adolescents through entrepreneurship education. Outside the sports industry, I have 4 years of work experience in the retail industry in a store and restaurant along the Grand Strand of South Carolina.
